Terry Allen Wescott, 61, Carthage, Mo., passed away Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013, at his home after a lengthy illness. Terry Allen Wescott was born Sept. 20, 1951, in Kansas City, Mo., the son of the late Ralph Wayne Wescott and Ilene McFadden Wescott. He attended schools in the Shawnee School District, Shawnee, Kan., and was a graduate of Shawnee West High School. He married Phyllis G. Graham on July 28, 1984 in Shawnee. He and his wife moved to Carthage in 1993, and was employed by Coca Cola Bottling, CO. Joplin, where he worked as a warehouseman. He was an active member of the National Rifle Association. Survivors include his wife, Phyllis, Carthage; a son, Brock Wescott, Carthage; a stepdaughter, Bobbi Johnson and husband, John, State of Texas; a stepson, David Bryan, State of Oklahoma; and three step grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 1:30 to 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, in the Knell Mortuary Chapel. Memorial services will follow at 2 p.m. Inurnment will follow at a later date.
