Frederick William Remlinger, 57, Kansas City, died in early October at home. He was born August 26, 1950, in Bossier City, La., the son of William Frederick and Eleanor Maxine (Bell) Remlinger. He was a 1969 graduate of Shawnee Mission West High School. While still in school, Mr. Remlinger gained employment at Kings Food Host in Overland Park. He later worked in the kitchen of the John Francis Restaurant in downtown Overland Park for several years. At the time of death, he was employed in the mailroom of the headquarters of United Missouri Bank (UMB) in Kansas City, where he had worked for 16 years. He was an elder in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kansas City 1st Ward. He was preceded in death by his father in 2000. Survivors include his mother, Eleanor Remlinger of Lawrence, Kan.; two sisters, Laura Hugunin of Overland Park, Penny (Kelly) Carlson of Independence, Mo.; a brother, Stephen of Lawrence, Kan.; six nieces and nephews and one great nephew. Memorial visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at The Amos Family Funeral Home, 10901 Johnson Dr., Shawnee, Kan. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
