Charles Stuart Pearse, 54, Baldwin City, KS passed away August 2, 2005. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Friday, August 5, at the Lenexa Christian Center, 17500 W. 87th Street Parkway, Lenexa, KS. Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m., Thursday, August 4, at the McGilley & Hoge Chapel, 8024 Santa Fe Dr., OP, KS. Burial will be in the Johnson County Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to The Salvation Army, PO Box 220, Jacksonville, IL 62651. Charles was born March 2, 1951, the son of John and Joyce (Challberg) Pearse in Kansas City, MO. He grew up in Overland Park, KS and graduated from Shawnee Mission West High School in 1969. He joined the Army National Guard and retired as a sergeant in 1977, and then went on to marry Marilyn Kay Kastl in January 1977. He worked many years for Smitty's Hardware in Overland Park, KS, as a sales and repairman. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; two daughters, Rachel Stouder and husband Jeremiah, Jacksonville, IL and Margaret Pearse, Baldwin City, KS; two grandsons, Elijah and Josiah Stouder; his parents, John and Joyce Pearse, Forsyth, MO; brother, John Pearse, Jr., Kansas City, MO; and sister; Marian Dyer, Overland Park, KS.
