Dar Daily

Beloved by family and friends, Dar D. Daily passed suddenly (cause undetermined) at his home in Plymouth, MN, on August 20th at the age of 66.

He was born April 13, 1951, in Kansas City, MO, to Jack and Delores Daily. He received a BS in mathematics from the University of Kansas and a MS in computer science from the University of Minnesota (Minneapolis). He married Patricia Buesseler in 1976 in Minneapolis, MN.

He was the most doting husband, father, Papa, godfather, uncle, brother, son, son-in-law, and friend that anyone could ever ask for.

Throughout his life, he contributed greatly to his community, including volunteering his time to VCPC and serving as a board member for Clearwater Forest. Dar was an accomplished percussionist, a terrific photographer, and (sometimes reluctant) world traveler (Pat loves to travel).

His career began working for Bell Labs and International Graphics. He co-founded a successful software development company, TMD Consulting, in 1979 with partners Mike Miller and Bill Treacy. After they sold the company in 1994, he enjoyed a lengthy sabbatical and finished his career helping teach math to both adults and children.

He is survived by his wife Pat; his children Geoff (Ji), Katie (Puya) (children Maya and Julian), and Nate (children Daphne and Evelyn); his sister Cheryl (Ed) (son Lance); his late sister's husband Mike (sons Sean and Eric and their wives and children); as well as many other loving relatives.

He was preceded in death by parents Jack and Delores Daily and sister Gwen Coe.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are welcome to the Clearwater Forest Dining Hall Renovation at clearwaterforest.org or to the Valley Community Presbyterian Church Endowment at valleychurch.net.

Dar will be missed tremendously by everyone who knew him. But we take solace in knowing that his generosity of spirit lives on through us all.
